WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Redevelopment Authority (hereinafter "Redevelopment Authority") has prepared and submitted an urban renewal plan and a redevelopment proposal for the redevelopment of the Haddington Urban Renewal Area, Unit Nos. 2 & 3 (hereinafter "Haddington"), which said plan and proposal were approved by Ordinance of the Council on September 29, 1969, as amended; and

WHEREAS, The Redevelopment Authority has prepared a redevelopment contract for a portion of Haddington, identified by house number and street address as 5852 Race street (the "Property"). The area of the Property is bounded as follows:

5852 Race street.

ALL THAT CERTAIN lot or piece of ground with the buildings and appurtenances thereto, if any, situated in the Thirty-fourth Ward of the City of Philadelphia, beginning on the southeast corner of the intersection at North Fifty-ninth street (sixty feet wide) and Race street (sixty feet wide); Containing in front or breadth along the south side of the said Race street sixteen feet and extending that width in length or depth southward between parallel lines at right angles to said Race street and also along the east side of the said Fifty-ninth street seventy-nine feet eight inches, to a certain three feet four inches wide alley extending westward into the said Fifty-ninth street and eastward into Hobart street (forty feet wide) communicating with a certain three feet wide alley extending southward to a point.
