WHEREAS, Cheryl Lee was born in Darby Township, Pennsylvania, and was educated in and graduated from the Southeast Delco School District. She furthered her education at the Keystone School of Business and graduated with an Associate's Degree in Executive Secretarial Studies in 1981; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl began her career in 1982 as an Operations Manager for Shearson/Lehman American Express in the Municipal Bonds Department. In July 1984, she began working for Samuel Staten, Sr., as his Secretary and was promoted to the position of Executive Assistant and Office Manager; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl was the Executive Assistant to the Business Manager of Laborers' Local #332, Samuel Staten, Jr., and the Executive Assistant to Retired Business Manager, Samuel Staten, Sr. She was also the Coordinator for Local 332's annual "Friends of Labor and Wind Beneath our Wings" banquets; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl's ability to communicate with Local #332 members, officers, staff, politicians, celebrities, lawyers, CEOs, and others is one of her greatest attributes; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl has a passion for writing and is a published poet. In her professional role, she was able to use her artistic and creative skills and was instrumental in researching historic information on Local #332 to be used in a documentary; and

WHEREAS, In 2009, Cheryl ran for Borough Council in Sharon Hill, PA. The campaign experience was one of the most triumphant experiences of her life; and

WHEREAS, Cheryl considers her work with Samuel Staten, Sr., Samuel Staten, Jr., Tony Lewis, and Laborers' Local #332 to be the best education that money didn't buy, but should cost a fortune; and
