Recognizing Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention and ChildLink Day in the City of Philadelphia and Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of ChildLink.

WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention system, under the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual disAbilities Services, and ChildLink, a program of the Public Health Management Corporation, play integral roles in addressing the developmental needs of infants and toddlers; and
WHEREAS, Since September of 1992, the Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention program and ChildLink have provided early intervention services to over 90,000 children with or at risk of developmental delays; and
WHEREAS, The Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention system and ChildLink have provided resources and supports to thousands of families, empowering them to navigate systems and become advocates for their children; and
WHEREAS, Children and families in Philadelphia have benefitted from the services provided by the Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention and ChildLink; and
WHEREAS, Philadelphia City Council recognizes the importance of early intervention services for infants and toddlers, and the positive impact of high-quality interventions on outcomes for children in preparation for school; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That Council does hereby recognize September 29, 2017, as Philadelphia Infant Toddler Early Intervention Day in the City of Philadelphia, and celebrates ChildLink on its 25th Anniversary.
RESOLVED FURTHER, That an Engrossed copy of this resolution be presented to ChildLink, evidencing the sincere respect and admiration of this legislative body.
