THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

SECTION 1. Chapter 9-800 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

§ 9-805.1  Landlord Rental License Information Disclosure.

 

                     (1)                      A landlord who enters into or renews a lease or tenancy for a residential dwelling unit in a building shall disclose, in writing, to the tenant or prospective tenant, the Rental License Information of the Landlord. The disclosure must be made part of the lease and shall provide contact information for the Department of Licenses and Inspection to verify the license information prior to execution of said lease.

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall take effect 60 days after it becomes law.
