WHEREAS, Sid Mark started his radio career back in the late 1950's on WHAT AM with an all-night program of jazz and Frank Sinatra. WHAT AM eventually changed their format into the first full time jazz station in the country with Sid Mark hosting the famous Mark of Jazz program for which he was awarded Program Director of the Year in 1974 from Billboard Magazine; and

WHEREAS, During his time in broadcasting Sid Mark worked at several stations including WHAT AM and WWDB FM. It was a format change at WWDB FM in 2001 that led Sid Mark to wind up at WPHT 1210 AM which is a talk radio only format except for the Frank Sinatra as presented by Sid Mark Program; and

WHEREAS, Sid Mark has hosted several Sinatra programs over the years starting in the mid 1950's including "Fridays with Frank", "Sundays with Sinatra" and the nationally syndicated "Sounds of Sinatra". Sid Mark had a personal relationship with Frank Sinatra that lasted decades and his shows have been personally authorized by Frank Sinatra; and

WHEREAS, Sid Mark has had a truly phenomenal career in radio winning many accolades over the years from best Music Program of the Year in 1974, Community Service Award in 1983, to being included in the Philadelphia Walk of Fame in 1993 with his many charitable endeavors with the March of Dimes, the Barbara Sinatra Children's Center and the Child Guidance Clinic to name just a few; and

WHEREAS, Sid Mark is the host of the longest running, single artist, syndicated radio program in America and the leading authority on Frank Sinatra and his entertainment legacy. With nearly 100 radio stations from coast to coast broadcasting his show, Sid Mark offers not only Frank Sinatra's music but behind the scenes anecdotes and personal stories and insights; now, therefore, be it
