Title
Amending Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled “Bicycle Lanes,” by authorizing the Department of Streets to designate bicycle lanes, in both directions, on Lansdowne Drive and South Concourse Drive from Sweet Briar Drive to 41st Street Drive in Fairmount Park and authorizing the removal of parking, pursuant to Section 12-203, on both Lansdowne Drive and South Concourse Drive, in the same limits, all under certain terms and conditions.

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:
SECTION 1. Section 12-701 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended to read as follows:
CHAPTER 12-700. BICYCLE LANES.
§ 12-701. Designation of Bicycle Lanes.
(1) A bicycle lane that requires the removal of a parking lane, a travel lane, or both, may be designated upon a street only when authorized by subsection (2) of this Section.
(2) The Department is authorized to designate a bicycle lane upon the following streets and regulate the operation and use of vehicles and bicycles upon such streets in a manner consistent with Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) regulations:

(*) Lansdowne Drive, from Sweet Briar Drive to South Concourse Drive: One bicycle lane in each direction and the removal of parking on both sides of the roadway.
(*) South Concourse Drive, from Lansdowne Drive to 41st Street Drive: One bicycle lane in each direction and the removal of parking on both sides of the roadway.
SECTION 2. The following no parking regulations are hereby established, pursuant to Section 12-203:
NO PARKING ANYTIME
Lansdowne Drive, from Sweet Briar Drive to South Concourse Drive, both sides.
NO PARKING ANYTIME
South Concourse Drive, from Lansdowne Drive to 41st Street Drive, both sides.
SECTION 3. This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
