WHEREAS, Romulo "Romy" Diaz, Jr., the proud husband of Dennis, earned his Bachelor's Degree from the University of Texas at Austin and a Juris Doctor Degree from the University of Texas Law School and is currently licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, Texas, and the District of Columbia; and
WHEREAS, Romulo has served on a number of civic and non-profit boards, including the Pennsylvania Energy Development Authority, the Philadelphia Museum of Art, Philadelphia Convention and Visitors Bureau, Center City District, Central Philadelphia Development Corporation, StreetSoccer USA, and also leads the Pan American Association of Philadelphia; and
WHEREAS, Romulo has been recognized and honored for his professional and community leadership by the Delaware Valley's Most Influential Latinos Foundation, Asociaci?n Puertorrique?os en Marcha, Community College of Philadelphia, the Urban Affairs Coalition, American Jewish Committee of Philadelphia/Southern New Jersey, Nationalities Service Center, The Legal Intelligencer, Al D?a News Media and Pepper Hamilton LLP. Romulo also served as the Speaker for the Penn State Brandywine Commencement Ceremony in December 2018; and
WHEREAS, Based in Philadelphia, Romulo was an instrumental part of PECO's team which is Pennsylvania's largest electric and natural gas utility. The company employs about 26,000 people and currently owns $10 billion in assets, generating approximately $2.8 billion in annual revenues. A subsidiary of Exelon Corporation, the nation's largest competitive energy provider, PECO serves $1.6 million electric and more than 520,000 natural gas customers in Southeastern Pennsylvania; and
