Title

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

SECTION 1. Title 12 of The Philadelphia Code is hereby amended as follows:

§ 12-2705. Issuance of Resident Parking Permits.

(7)                     Notwithstanding the other provisions of this Section, low-income individuals that reside within permit parking District 38, shall not be required to pay an annual permit fee for the first vehicle in their household. Low-income individuals that reside within permit parking District 38 shall be required to submit a completed permit application and an annual permit fee of sixty dollars ($60) for each additional vehicle in the household, beyond the first vehicle.  In determining the number of vehicles in a household, the Department shall not count motorcycles or motor-driven cycles; and provided, further that the annual fee for each motorcycle or motor-driven cycle shall be thirty-five dollars ($35).

 

(a)                     The Revenue Department shall promulgate regulations to determine the eligibility guidelines for low-income individuals for purposes of this subsection.

 

SECTION 2. This Ordinance shall be effective 180 days after it becomes law.
