Title

Establishing parking restrictions for certain commercial vehicles in the vicinity of Tulip street and Robbins street, and Longshore avenue and New State road; all under certain terms and conditions.

 

Body

THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA HEREBY ORDAINS:

 

SECTION 1.  No person shall park any vehicle used, constructed or equipped for the transportation of goods, wares, merchandise, tools or equipment in trade, commerce, repair, or service work, with a capacity in excess of one-half ton, on any of the following streets, at any time, except for the purpose of loading or unloading vehicles in the usual course of business with the occupiers of the residential property, or while carrying passengers for hire:

 

(a) Tulip street, both sides, from Robbins street to the terminus of Tulip street near Cottman avenue.

 

(b) Longshore avenue, both sides, from New State road to Frankford avenue.

 

SECTION 2.  Section 1 shall not apply to any vehicle which is loaded with debris, waste or recyclable materials.

 

SECTION 3.  Vehicles in violation of Section 1 shall be removed or towed by the Police Department.

 

SECTION 4.  This Ordinance shall take effect immediately.
