Recognizing and determining that Bill No. 210778-A remains under active consideration by this Council.

 

Body

WHEREAS, On September 30, 2021 Bill No. 210778 was introduced by Councilmember Gauthier and referred to the Committee on Rules; and

 

WHEREAS, On October 26, 2021 a public hearing of the Council Committee on Rules was held at which testimony was taken on Bill No. 210778; the Bill was amended; and the committee voted to report the Bill, as amended, out of committee as favorably recommended; and

 

WHEREAS, On October 28, 2021, at a meeting of the Council, Bill No. 210778 was reported out favorably from Committee; and

 

WHEREAS, On November 4, 2021, at a meeting of the Council, Bill No. 210778 was again amended; renumbered Bill No. 210778-A; and received first reading, as amended; and

 

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 14-304(3)(g) of The Philadelphia Code the pending ordinance doctrine applies to Bill 210778-A; and

 

WHEREAS, Pursuant to Section 14-304(3)(g) Bill 210778-A is a pending ordinance and will continue to be a pending ordinance while Bill 210778-A remains under active consideration; and

 

WHEREAS, Section 14-304(3)(g) permits Council to adopt a resolution declaring that a bill that has had a Council committee hearing remains under active consideration for up to six months after the date of the committee vote to report out the bill; now, therefore, be it

 

RESOLVED, THAT THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, Hereby recognizes and determines that Bill No. 210778-A shall continue to be considered under active consideration as provided under Section 14-304(3)(g) of The Philadelphia Code for the maximum time permitted under Section 14-304(3)(g).
