Honoring and congratulating Champion of the Week, Anthony Caple of Mercy Career and Technical High School, for his success in founding, promoting, and managing his own clothing brand, 5 Star Clothing.

WHEREAS, The 5 Star brand was founded as a result of Anthony’s hard work and dedication in his teacher, Whitley Kels' business class at Mercy Career and Technical High School; and
WHEREAS, Anthony, a sophomore, represents Mercy Career and Technical High School’s best and brightest students; and
WHEREAS, Anthony has always had an entrepreneurial spirit and "instead of [Anthony] going to buy Gucci and all that stuff,” he would “rather just wear [his] own” brand; and
WHEREAS, The owner of Genuine Prints, Eric Turner, and Anthony “sparked a business mentorship,” helping Anthony navigate the business world; and
WHEREAS, Anthony and his family have longstanding roots in the Philadelphia business community, as his father also owns a local business; and
WHEREAS, The purpose of 5 Star Clothing, and Anthony’s personal goal, is to make everyone who wears the brand feel like they are worth five stars; now, therefore, be it
RESOLVED, BY THE COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PHILADELPHIA, That we hereby congratulate and honor champion of the week, Anthony Caple of Mercy Career and Technical High School, for his success in founding, promoting, and managing his own clothing brand, 5 Star Clothing.
FURTHER RESOLVED, That an Engrossed copy be presented to Anthony Caple and 5 Star Clothing, further evidencing the sincere admiration and respect of this legislative body.
