Recognizing and honoring Rodney Little for his exemplary and outstanding service as a dedicated public servant, police officer, union leader and military veteran.

WHEREAS, Born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, Rodney Little enlisted in the U.S. Army in April 1978 as a Radio Teletype Morse Code Operator; and
WHEREAS, Little achieved the rank of Sergeant Major and was assigned to the Mobilization Assistance Team Operations Regional Training Program, 75th Training Division at the Joint Base Maguire-Dix -Lakehurst, New Jersey; and
WHEREAS, In this capacity, he was responsible for (1) directing operations, (2) executing and analyzing the agency's strategic training objectives, (3) coordinating training for over 200,000 soldiers assigned to the military unit's positions within a 50-state geographical area, (4) identifying material, facilities and services needed to support the units and (5) identifying manpower, material, facilities and services with program plans to assure that the support arrived at the right place and time; and
WHEREAS, Little's most significant achievement in this role was his success in achieving a 100% regulatory compliance rating on 108 key performance indicators within 12 months; and
WHEREAS, He holds a Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and has earned certifications from training courses in a variety of topics including: Equal Opportunity, Antiterrorism, Housing Quality Standards, Bureau Narcotics Investigations and Drug Control, Instructors Training and Small Group Instruction; and
WHEREAS, Serving in both active duty and reserve forces of the United States Army, he also worked as a police officer for the Philadelphia Housing Authority Police Department and was President of the Fraternal Order of Police Lodge 106; and
