I am advised by the Law Department that, unfortunately, all provisions of the bill are dormant until the General Assembly has acted. Nevertheless, safety comes first. The City continues to make appropriate arrangements with state and federal regulators to conduct inspections of propane and natural gas systems. The Fire Department will continue to collaborate with the Pennsylvania Department of the Labor and Industry, as well as the United States Pipeline and Hazardous Materials Safety Administration to conduct these inspections during large events.
