The Committee on Public Property and Public Works of the Council of the City of
Philadelphia will hold a Public Hearing on Monday, June 1, 2026, at 3:30 PM, in Room
400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the following items:
An Ordinance Naming and designating 60th & Baltimore Park, located at 5961
Baltimore Ave as “Tyrone ‘Cakes’ Sims Park.”
An Ordinance Amending Chapter 16-400 of The Philadelphia Code, entitled
“Surplus Properties,” by adding methodology for disposition by property
exchange, and making other technical changes, all under certain terms and
conditions.
Attachments:
An Ordinance Authorizing the Philadelphia Authority for Industrial Development to
convey fee simple title to all or a portion of property known as 5501 Tacony Street,
for less than fair market value, under certain terms and conditions.
An Ordinance Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City
of Philadelphia, to enter into a lease agreement, including a lease amendment, for a
portion of the premises at 1341 N. Delaware Ave. for general office and
administrative use by the City, all under certain terms and conditions.
An Ordinance Authorizing the Commissioner of Public Property, on behalf of the City
of Philadelphia, to enter into a sublease agreement with the Philadelphia Municipal
Authority, for use by the City of a portion of the premises located at 701 Market
Street, all under certain terms and conditions.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Public Property
and Public Works, open to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on
the above listed items. Copies of the foregoing items are available in the Office of the
Chief Clerk of the Council, Room 402, City Hall.
