Public Hearing Notice
The Committee on Law and Government of the Council of the City of Philadelphia will hold a Public
Hearing on Monday, February 9, 2026, at 1:00 PM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony on the
following items:
An Ordinance providing for the submission to the qualified electors of the City of
Philadelphia of the proposal set forth in a Resolution approved by Council
proposing an amendment to The Philadelphia Home Rule Charter relating to the
creation of the Office of the Youth Ombudsperson; and authorizing and directing
the appropriate officers to publish notice and to make arrangements for the
special election.

Resolution proposing an amendment to the Philadelphia Home Rule Charter
providing for the creation of the Office of the Youth Ombudsperson; and
providing for the submission of the proposed amendment to the electors of
Philadelphia.
Resolution authorizing the Committee on Law and Government to hold a hearing
on the process to resolve a tangled title in the City of Philadelphia.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Law and Government, open
to the public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
