Cancellation of Public Hearing Notice
The Committee on Legislative Oversight of the Council of the City of Philadelphia has CANCELLED a
Public Hearing on Wednesday, October 7, 2026, at 2:00 PM, in Room 400, City Hall, to hear testimony
on the following items:
Resolution authorizing the Committee on Legislative Oversight to hold hearings
investigating the announced closure of the Academy of Natural Sciences of Drexel
University’s public museum, its consequences for Philadelphia, and options to preserve
public access and the institution’s scientific and educational mission and authorizing the
issuance of subpoenas to the full extent authorized under Section 2-401 of the Home
Rule Charter.
Immediately following the public hearing, a meeting of the Committee on Legislative Oversight, open to the
public, will be held to consider the action to be taken on the above listed items.
Copies of the foregoing items are available in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the Council, Room 402, City
Hall.
